Volunteer: Youth Volunteer and Mentor Interest FormThanks for your interest in supporting our youth program! Please note that we may not have a space for you to serve if you submit this form, but it helps to know you and your areas of interest. Mill Village Youth attend Life Launch on Monday from 4:30-6:00p during their year apprenticing at Mill Village Farms or Village Wrench. This always includes monthly 1-1 mentoring, field trips, life skills classes (money skills, job skills, soft skills), and monthly optional girls' Bible Study. Youth Bike Repair Mentors assist with Village Wrench’s 6-Cycle Youth Program. This is a 6 week commitment and mentors should be passionate about both bicycles and connecting with teenagers. Mentors also assist with transportation before class, picking students up from school or home that live within a four-mile radius of the farm. The most helpful volunteers are those that can commit to supporting or facilitating a Life Skills class, assisting with Bible Study, or serving as a long-term mentor. All ongoing volunteers will have a background check run and must attend our Youth Protection Training. If you are passionate about youth development but a long-term commitment does not work for your schedule, please submit this form anyway! We would love to be able to contact you when one-off needs arise. Examples include interviewers during Job Skills Workshops, guest speakers, and field trip hosts. Since dinner is served in our enterprise programs, we have an ongoing need for meal providers (sign up here). Thank you for your support!
