Join us to help prepare for our bi-weekly FoodShare produce box distribution!
Each box comes with 10-12 varieties of top-quality fruits and vegetables that are sourced as locally and seasonally as possible. On box prep day, volunteers set the stage for box packing by assembling and counting out cardboard boxes, inspecting and counting produce items, and assisting with any pre-packaging of produce items that needs to take place.
You should expect to be on your feet for the better part of 2 hours. We do provide time for snacks, hydrating, and socializing. We often play music throughout the shift to keep things fun and energized! Please bring a refillable water bottle and wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Prep day takes place inside a warehouse so we'll be out of the elements but the warehouse can get hot or cold depending on the season. Layers are recommended.

We will begin promptly at 2pm. Please plan to arrive a little early to give yourself time to park and locate our entrance. Please DO NOT park in any spaces marked as reserved for other businesses in the complex or those blocked off with cones. You may park in one of the spaces to the left of our garage door (these spots are limited) or out in the larger parking lots between warehouses. (On the attached map, the red line denotes the route to our garage door from Rutherford Rd and the yellow denotes the parking lots between warehouses). Carpooling is recommended for groups.
