As a Spanish speaking volunteer, your primary role will be to assist in communicating with our Spanish speaking customers. The team will likely also have you assist with the general volunteer duties of moving boxes from our refrigerated truck and assisting in placing them in customer vehicles. This shift requires basic Spanish conversation skills and comfort utilizing them.
General distribution shift information:
Help distribute FoodShare boxes at our drive-thru location in back of the CommunityWorks Carolina parking lot (100 W Antrim Dr, Greenville, SC 29607). Volunteer shifts are from 10:30 am-2 pm and 2-6 pm on distribution days. The map below denotes the location within the CommunityWorks parking lot in yellow. Upon arrival at CommunityWorks, volunteers can park onsite in their lot.
Please dress for the weather as we will be outside for the entirety of the shift (under the cover of a roof so there will be some protection from the elements), and bring a reusable water bottle and a lunch, if you need one.
