About This Event:
Fellow Bikers will take a beautiful ride through the rolling hills of Greenville County. The ride will depart from Cherokee Valley Country Club and wander through the shaded backroads toward Campbell's Covered Bridge where you can take a break and visit the historic bridge.
Beneficiary:
Proceeds from the Campbell's Covered Bridge event will go to Village Wrench, Greenville's full-service and sales nonprofit bicycle shop; their mission is to connect the community through bicycle repair, educational empowerment, and upward mobility.
Volunteer Request:
4 People: 2 people at each rest stop.
Volunteers must be 13 and over, but anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Each rest stop needs at least one adult volunteer.
Where: Cherokee Valley Country Club, 450 Cherokee Valley Way Travelers Rest, SC 29690 (report here for supplies and instructions)
When: August 24, 2024; 8am-2pm (at the latest)
What: Set up rest stop with the supplies provided by Greenville Spinners Bicycle Club. Provided is food, water, supplies, instructions, and a map to locate the rest stop.
Details: Volunteers will need a vehicle to transport supplies to the rest stop location. They will report in the morning to the start location @ Cherokee Valley Country Club. We will provide instructions and help load up supplies for the rest stop. Volunteers will drive to rest stop and set up supplies so ride participants can receive food and drink along the route. They will clean up the rest stop area and return supplies to ride finish. Volunteers are welcome to enjoy lunch when they return to the finish line.
